The HBS Club of New York provides meaningful volunteer opportunities for HBS alumni. All HBS alumni in the Greater New York City Area are encouraged to apply. Expertise or professional experience in small business management, crisis management, State and local business guidelines and regulations, finance, real estate, e-commerce, or the restaurant industry preferred. The Recover + Rebuild Initiative is currently seeking volunteers in three specific areas:
Group sessions bring together 8-10 small business owners or entrepreneurs virtually to obtain real-time management advice from HBS alumni-consultants and to glean valuable insights from their peers in the shared learning setting. Volunteers are needed to facilitate group discussions and provide advice to participants.
Individual coaching sessions provide small business owners or entrepreneurs an opportunity to walk through their most pressing business challenge with one or more HBS alumni-consultants and receive tailored management advice. Volunteers are needed to coach one-on-one sessions.
Several webinars on topics such as digital strategy, real estate issues, and cashflow have been developed under the Recovery + Rebuild Initiative. More are needed.
