Help the New Plaza Cinema seeking to replace the recently closed Lincoln Plaza Cinema to continue to provide art and international films to a passionate audience.
The Lincoln Plaza Cinema, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, served a large and passionate customer set with independent and international films for many years. They closed last year when their landlord decided to use the space for other purposes.
A group of those devoted fans have formed a nonprofit to revive this important part of Manhattan’s art cinema culture. They have rented space and begun to deliver weekend showings of films and attracting an audience. Their goal is to present a full complement of films and include a film educational center, showcasing creators and historians.
We will do a brainstorming session to help the startup nonprofit, New Plaza Cinema, build an effective, sustainable business plan.
